KARACHI: Connecting directly with his fans in Peshawar, West Indian skipper of PSL team Peshawar Zalmi has once again opted for posting a tweet in Pashto language.

Pakhairoona Zalmi's. Sanga ai Taso. Umeed laram che taso ba tol rogh Jor ai. Sanga chal de psl 3 bara ke mu sa khyal de,” Sammy tweeted.

Sammy’s tweet is translated as “Greeting Zalmis! I hope you all are in best of health. What are your thoughts on PSL.”
The Pashto tweet by the St. Lucian got a positive response from the fans, who responded in the same language.
One fan named him Sammy Khan.
“Lots of love from Pakistan, We love, we respect you! You opened cricket's door for Pakistan never forgot,” responded a fan Hamza.
Javed Afridi, the owner of the franchise, praised Sammy’s direct involvement with the fans.
“Sammy has been a great ambassador of Pakistan cricket and our relationship with him is not limited to cricket,” said Javed Afridi, adding that Sammy played an important role in convincing top cricketers to visit Pakistan.
Javed also responded to Sammy’s tweet indicating that the West Indian may visit Pakistan soon.
“Looking to see you soon in Pakistan and yes this time will go to Peshawar,”
This was not Sammy’s first tweet in Pashto, he also posted tweets in Pashto during PSL earlier this year.
The West Indian WT20 winning captain told this correspondent in Dubai during PSL that he was trying to learn Pashto from Javed Afridi and other members of the Peshawar squad.
